About the shop:

Jake J. Shop launched in 2024, run by Jade (founder) and Ryan (founder's partner). Our items are curated for working women who understand the importance of accessorizing, who love to incorporate the latest styles into their aesthetic, and who find joy in sharing a great look, in person and on their socials.

 

About Jade:

Jade is a Filipino-American fashion designer, born in Cebu City and currently based in Salt Lake City, Utah. He came to the USA in 2017. He first worked as a housekeeper at a senior living facility, then as a kitchen assistant at a meal delivery service. Later he enrolled full-time in a fashion design program. While in school he got a job with a local clothing brand, first as a production assistant and later as a product designer.

Jade's journey into selling clothing began while he was still in school, selling his (and his husband's) used clothing on Poshmark. In 2022 he completed his fashion design degree, quit his job, and started focusing on selling online full-time, first on Poshmark and then expanding to eBay. He is still active on both of those platforms, selling used and upcycled items.

 

About the name:

Jade's parents named him Jake, but his original birth certificate misspelled his name. He has been called Jade ever since. Jake is now his go-to pseudonym, hence the name Jake J. Shop.
